The Good Gym – running that does (some) good
An innovative project that combines a passion for running with volunteering. Recognised in March 2014 by David Cameron with the ‘Big Society Award’, the activity founded in 2012 connects running enthusiasts with community projects.
By signing up for the programme, each runner (or group of runners) is given a weekly mission that channels the energy of sport into an activity that is not an end in itself: from visiting elderly people (who become special coaches), to maintaining community green areas, etc. Since its launch in 2012, Good Gym has involved more than 1000 runners and around 250 elderly and isolated people and 50 local community projects.

The school adopts a monument
A project for permanent education on the respect and protection of the historic-artistic heritage, launched in Naples in December 1992 on the initiative of the Fondazione Napoli Novantanove, in agreement with the Superintendency of Education and the Superintendencies. In September 1994, at the same time as the presentation of the European Pilot Project, dissemination began at national level (Udine, Venice, Turin, Sarzana, Recanati, Modena, Pesaro, Palermo, Milan, Ancona etc.).
Participating schools accompany pupils and their families to discover churches, palaces, museums, schools, farmsteads and historical parks adopted during the year. The project aims to pass on history through knowledge of it from an early age, so as to contribute to the formation of citizens who understand the city as a ‘cultural landscape’ in which they live and which constitutes a reference heritage for their own aesthetic taste and sensitivity.

Precarious Network
Network Precario is the brainchild of a group of workers who intend to give a collective and concrete response to the social scourge of precariousness, through the online sharing of information such as job offers, training courses, thought-provoking articles, contacts and professionally useful advice in Italy and abroad. The network responds to the need to create a space of mutual support with a view to the re-construction of a professional and personal path, and has also activated a spontaneous and self-organised ‘creActive laboratory’ that promotes civil and social awareness actions. The network organises events and manifestations of various kinds.

Production from below – New Economic Communities
