We showcase and facilitate the booking of goods and services in your area
Over the past few years, we have realised that culture is eaten, that on a trip to Italy, food counts as much in motivating cultural choices as, and more than, prestigious destinations.
Now we understand that going to the seaside is also culture, that along the Ligurian coasts there is a tradition of inhabitation of the beach, made up of bathing establishments, the arrangement of lidos, landscapes tamed by powerfully evocative temporary architecture.
Now, as regulated access to the sea becomes compulsory due to health safety, the historical care of the lidos and bathing facilities become valuable once again.
It is a kind of ‘active landscape’ made up of preserves and services, to be sought out and booked in good time.
This is why the LandscapeFor (LSF) association includes seaside resorts of excellence in the MVMV – Meraviglie Vicine, Mai Viste (Nearby, Never Seen Wonders) project, which offers tools to enhance visibility and orderly and planned accessibility to both widespread cultural assets and related receptive services, in entire territorial areas such as the Rivieras.
An operational tool
With the MVMV project we use our AtlasFor atlas, adapting it to the new needs to allow visitors to organise itineraries in large areas and safely access cultural sites and excellent accommodation services, organising their visit with reservations.
We have therefore prepared
a map showcasing cultural assets and activities of excellence,
including the bathing establishments concerned, with cards that tell the assets and services in pictures, see video.
an overview of bookings for access to each cultural resource or of restricted services,
times and dates for safe access.
For bathing establishments, an entry in AtlasFor can be activated immediately with a summary sheet showing the services offered and their cost, as well as a reservation sheet informing about the availability of places at each date and time.
Then the sheet can be completed with images and short videos on the aspects of cultural interest that distinguish each establishment, either for its history or for the offer of particular services and landscapes.
Help for the local operator to enter its shop window and booking sheet into Atlasfor
The LandscapeFor (LSF) association prepares a ‘technical’ catalogue of points of cultural interest in the area to be served. In addition to cultural heritage, the list also includes operators of excellence in the various accommodation sectors, including bathing: establishments known for their history, location or environmental context, and special services are included in a first list.
LSF sends a call to the operators managing the identified assets to join the project. The local operator who joins registers on the platform and is put in communication with the LSF services, which help him to indicate the maximum capacity for the safe use of the asset, the opening hours and days, the references for directing visitors to bookings (calendar, booking sheet and showcase of service offers) and to insert photographic and video material for the story of his own site and activities.
The operator registers on the platform and logs in on his desk, where he will find the button to reach the calendar. The first time he logs in, he will have to set the basic data, then he will edit the calendar to integrate new bookings.
Define the weekly schedules
Define the slots and the number of people per slot.
Each manager will display his own calendar and bookings for each individual day.
The visitor uses the booking calendar
Atlasfor is opened on the area of interest (choose it in Explore Atlasfor: e.g. APPA Liguria Ponente); on the map one locates and clicks on the icon of the point of interest.
The tab opens, which by chapters recounts that activity, highlighting services offered and costs. Already on the first screen is the booking calendar where you can read the updated status of bookings, with available dates and times.
To book directly from AtlasFor just click on the BOOKING REQUEST button: this opens a short user registration (name and email address) and a very simple form that puts you in contact with the manager, indicating the date and time option. The manager replies (automatically or not depending on your choices), confirming the booking and indicating the conditions (costs, any health constraints, etc.).
For the user who wishes to choose between several alternatives, the ‘List’ option (bottom right button) provides all the ‘points of interest’ included in the area framed on the map (cultural and service points) to organise a visit programme or simply choose between different bathing establishments. By opening each of the points from the list, you have a calendar of the relevant bookings and can proceed as above.
